Record-Breaking Snow!!!!
SNOW!!! And a lot of it! In these past two days Dallas and Sunnyvale have become a winter wonderland for the first time ever! And people used to think Utah and Washington, D.C had a lot of snow. We ended the 5 inch record with a total of 8.9 inches in a 24 hour period and over a foot total! It snowed the entire day! From when we woke up until about 11:30 P.M!
Our desert palm tree...
The supply of sleds was short so I realized that you don't need a sled to go sledding! Well, at least that's what I thought...

Zoo!
For MLK day we were all out of school so we decided to take a little trip to the Dallas zoo with the Phillips. We had a ton of fun and Anna and I took some great pics with our new cameras!
After a long day with the awesome leaf-eating gorilla in the background.

Cart-wheel contest anyone?
Anna decided that it would be a wise maneuver to challenge Brett to a cart-wheel competition. Knowing this couldn't go too well I got out the camera to record the hilariousness. It's a good thing I did. There were three rounds... a right hand cart-wheel, a left hand cart-wheel and a random routine that had to include some sort of wheel. Linnae and I were privileged to be the judges for this marvelous event.
left hand... Brett winner
Dad decided that his skills were needed to make this competition note-worthy...
Round one, two, and three... Anna winner, but it was definitely a close call when it came to the free style round! In the end Anna was the winner but everyone did great!

Frozen Fish
A couple weeks ago, when the cold was sweeping Texas, my dad and I went realized at about 10:30 we hadn't fed the horses, darn. I looked around the room panicked, trying to find a way out, to no avail. So we walked over to the horses in the 15 degree weather to find their water trough frozen solid, requiring dad to jump on the ice to break it. We decided to bring back one of the 2 inch thick pieces. The next morning when Anna went to go check on the water trough she and a friend were forced to use a some unknown horse tool to break the ice... this time containing one of our fish that eat the algae, which was later found by dad and Tanner. That poor orange fish had been seen only hours ago by myself the previous night. Poor fish...

New Decade! Happy New Year!
2009 was GREAT! Many new and exciting things happened and some things ended. Gordy turned 40, we have no more babies in the house, we went to South Padre, my dad and I went on our amazing hike, Jenn visited Kosrae, and musical talent continues to abide. We cannot wait for more of 2010! Our New Years, as always, was spent in Oklahoma with our friends the Davidsons and the Ludlows. It couldn't be any better!
Merry Christmas
Christmas this year was amazing! We started out our break going to the great wolf lodge for a couple of days and had a blast in the water park and playing the games. That following week we went up to the cabin with Jared, Em and Rich, Sarah and James, Brett and Linnae, and all the kids. We acted out the nativity and exchanged presents with the cousins... such fun! Christmas Eve night we drove home and woke up the next morning to a white Christmas!
